Civil War Reenactment

This past weekend we went to a Civil War reenactment in Elverta. When we first moved to Antelope, Lynne told us about a Civil War reenactment that you could hear every year from her house. She said you could hear gunfire, cannons, and even screaming. At first she didn't know what it was. Then she found out what it was.

Luigi has been interested in going to the reenactment since he heard about it. I found out that it was going to be happening last weekend and we decided that we would try it. Unfortunately, there was a spike in the weather. 105 degrees in May is pretty rare. But the weather was miserable. We lasted the entire reenactment. There were other things to see there, but we thought it might be best to get the baby out of the weather.

I wasn't sure how Isabella would react, but she couldn't have really cared less. She jumped a few times when she heard the cannon, but she didn't get hysterical. She was more interested in drinking her bottle and eating some Cheerios. Here are some shots from the day.
